NCSA Music Dean Thomas Clark to Step Down
10 Apr 2008

Doctor Thomas Clark, Dean of the School of Music, recently announced that he is resigning his position, effective July 25. He is leaving NCSA to accept the position of director of the School of Music at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

An interim dean will be announced this spring, and will serve while the search for a permanent dean gets under way.

This is Dr. Clark's fourth year as the Music Dean. He came to the School of the Arts from the University of North Texas College of Music in Denton, where he was the associate dean for academic affairs. Dr. Clark earned all three of his degrees from the University of Michigan, culminating in his Doctorate in Musical Arts. He has held posts at the University of Michigan, Indiana University, Pacific Lutheran University and the University of North Texas. He is a composer and amateur trombone player.
